Busch Greenway Bridge

Phase I – 2007

The first phase of the Busch Greenway Missouri Research Park Trail opened in 2007. Developed by Great Rivers Greenway, this 3/4 mile link connects the parking lot near the Duckett Creek Sanitary Facility to the Katy Trail. This trail includes a 220 l.f. boardwalk over a USACE-identified wetland. It connects users to the Katy Trail, a 238 mile rail-to-trail that traverses nearly three-quarters of the distance from St. Louis to Kansas City.

Loomis Associates provided all master planning, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration for this project.

Phase II – 2015

The second phase of the Missouri Research Park Trail connects Phase I to the Hamburg Trail. This portion of the trail, named the “Howell Trail”, was a collaborative effort between the University Of Missouri, Missouri Department of Conservation, Missouri Department of Transportation, and Great Rivers Greenway. It extends four miles from the Duckett Creek Trailhead within Missouri Research Park to the August A. Busch Memorial Wildlife Area.

Loomis Associates provided all master planning, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration for this project. The project grand opening was held May 22, 2015.
