Located in the City of Town and Country, this nine acre park was formerly the site of a house and horse farm. Unique to the site is a restored log cabin, which has been integrated into an “historic area” of the park. A second cabin was relocated to the park and reconstructed.
New plantings were added to enhance the screening of the surrounding neighbors and highway. The gardens in the “historic area” contain plant materials and planting styles of the era of the cabin.
A new restroom, pavilion, play areas, parking lot and extensive trails have been designed to give the citizens of the city a new location for picnics and outings.
All elements of Drace Park have the underlying historic theme, with design features of the new structures complementing the existing structures that will remain on the site. Construction was completed in 2003.
